We saw what condition the field of network "journalism" was in back when CBS News' Margaret Brennan interviewed Secretary of State Marco Rubio earlier this year. The facial expressions said it all, but this is par for the "journalism" course whenever Brennan interviews GOPers:

She really shouldn't make it so obvious.
Speaking of making it obvious, @mazemoore spotted Brennan altering her assessment of the status of Iran's nuclear program based on what Trump is doing or saying at any given time.
Here's what Brennan said when Biden was still in office, vs. the first year of Trump's second term:
During the VP debate in 2024, Margaret Brennan stated as fact that Iran was less than two weeks away from developing a nuclear weapon.

And yet these same "journalists" wonder why more people don't rush to defend them against Trump calling out their propaganda and lies.
