Seth Dillon Shares 'One of the Craziest Headlines From the Woke Era' ... and It's a Doozy

Have you ever read a headline where every three words or so there is a plot twist?

And before you ask, it is real … and we guess it is spectacular, in some sense of the word. Someone was kind enough to dig up the original story in the replies. It’s an oldish story, as the screenshot indicates:

Now, first, we are not sure that the Daily Mail ought to be blamed for weird phrasing like ‘her penis.’ We in America are lucky that we can speak the unvarnished truth on transgender issues, but the Daily Mail is in Britain, so they aren’t so free. They could literally go to prison for speaking the truth.

Let that sink in.

But, in any case, as for the article, the situation is indeed that much of a mess. Apparently, Ohio has no law prohibiting men from entering women’s restrooms, changing areas, etc., so he couldn’t be charged under that kind of law. He couldn’t be charged with trespass, because the relevant YMCA doesn’t prohibit men from entering women’s restrooms.

So, all that was left was indecent exposure. The allegation is that he is so fat that certain parts of him couldn’t be seen, even when he was naked. We would guess that the witnesses admitted they didn’t actually see the relevant parts. We won’t bore you with all the details, but we looked up the statute. You could interpret it so it covered both exposure and/or recklessly subjecting people to the risk of exposure, and he certainly did the latter by walking around naked in a women’s changing room. But the problem is that Ohio is one of the states that practices the doctrine of lenity (explained here), so the judge is required to read the law in favor of the defendant. So we actually agree with the judge: You would need proof that someone saw it.

Of course, on Twitter/X we noted that we would commit seppuku if we won this kind of case using that defense. But then again, we have enough moral fiber not to find ourselves in that situation in the first place.

The real source of this problem — besides Britain’s suppression of free expression — seems to be the fact that the YMCA seems to have forgotten what the C in their initials stand for. Women need to start suing and one avenue they can use is sexual harassment law. We don’t like much of sexual harassment law because of the way courts cavalierly tosses aside First Amendment rights (especially in hostile environment type cases), but this would be an actual good and constitutional use of the doctrine.

On to reactions:

Hey, isn’t this sort of thing why you guys invented Not the Bee?

She is referring to the case of Tickle v. Giggle. We talked about this case before, but this ridiculously named case is so named because the plaintiff is a man who claims to be a woman named Jason Tickle, and he sued a website called Giggle, which was a lesbian dating app which was run by people that believed for some crazy reason you had to be a woman to join their lesbian dating app. That seems like a perfectly reasonable position, but this is Australia, the land down under, where toilets flow the wrong way, women glow and make thunder, and despite that glowing and thundering, the courts can’t figure out what an actual woman is. More seriously, they have so little respect for freedom of expression that they are forcing a lesbian dating app to cater to the point of view that a man can become a woman just by saying he is one, rather than honoring the preferences of these lesbians. Are they not allowed to be lesbians, by the way they define that term? If Tickle didn't like it, he could start his own 'inclusive' dating app.

In any case, Ms. Grover is the founder and CEO of Giggle, so we can see why she brought that case up.

We thought that these days Mr. Bean was going under the name Peter Buttigieg.

Before you reply to her, bear in mind this is a parody account, therefore the comment is intentionally ridiculous.

SMOD makes promises but he can’t deliver.

Yes, the judge and the man who dresses like a woman and is too fat to commit indecent exposure are hard to tell apart.

We know he is probably joking, but why do we get the feeling it's not so much a joke as him being ahead of the next cringey linguistic trend on the left?

Ugh, he’s probably right.

Finally, an international entry:

We are never sure if AI is translating this correctly, but the alleged translation (from Spanish) is a banger:

They call it cold soup, because the fat keeps you from seeing the noodle.

Annnnnnd we are hereby deceased. We had to hit the publish button using our ghostly powers. Please send condolences to this author’s family.
