The Emmys were held Monday night. It’s been years since many of us genuinely cared who walked home with an award. But we still get some unintentional laughs from the procession of ‘talent’ that struts and poses before the annual entertainment event in downtown Los Angeles.
Posters online were cringing and cracking up at actress Shailene Woodley’s ‘fashion’ statement. (WATCH)

That’s a statement all right. pic.twitter.com/rNXiqkZMvs

Statement? We’d say it’s more like a cry for help. Well, help getting dressed.
But we’ll go along with ‘statement.’ Posters had fun deciding exactly what Woodley’s statement was.
Is that statement that she recently had a serious bump to the Head?

This looks like a child of an old hippie playing in their mom's closet
Yes....I remember being a little kid and wondering into my parents closet...walking out with a robe, cowboy boots, a construction hat and an umbrella too

The statement: “I look like an idiot.”

Yeah, "I don't know how to dress myself."

The statement is, “I got dressed in the dark.”

What statement? Ray Charles dresses her?

Is the statement that she's homeless and got dressed from a dumpster

Is the statement: "Most of my clothes were burned in Palisades fire and haven't got shopping since?"

The hairstyle is ugly.
— Tea Party Barbie (@laurahollis61) September 15, 2026
The shirt is ugly.
The pants are ugly.
The gloves (if that's what they are) are ugly.
It's all ill-fitting and unflattering, nothing matches, and it looks like it was picked out by a homeless person on crack.
That's quite a statement.
Pierpaolo Piccioli designed Woodley’s unfortunate ensemble. We were certain it was Mrs. Brown’s first-grade art class.
Commenters say the demented design made them wish the late Joan Rivers were still with us.
Joan Rivers we need you. This outfit is an utter calamity!
— Link Lauren (@itslinklauren) September 15, 2026
Calamity doesn't even begin to describe this monstrosity.
— Lillybug🇺🇸 (@Lillybug2302) September 15, 2026
We’d see a lot less of this if they knew she was waiting, microphone in hand, on the red carpet!

I just tweeted same thing!! I miss Joan Rivers on Red Carpet! Would’ve loved to hear her thoughts on this getup! “Oh, grow up!” 😝✌🏼

There’s a new generation of girls who have never been bullied by Joan Rivers and that’s unfortunate. pic.twitter.com/FCFKVsKe7Z

Woodley’s goofy getup looks like something prisoners would be forced to wear for getting out of line. We certainly felt punished just looking at it.
