Tomorrow, House Oversight's DOGE Committee will be holding a hearing to probe Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass' handling of about a billion taxpayer dollars that were funneled through the L.A. Homeless Services Authority.

Bass said she wouldn't be able to make it to the hearing because of a "scheduling conflict."
Now that an investigation has been launched to see what happened to about a billion dollars in federal funding, suddenly Bass is quite concerned about the stewardship of taxpayer dollars. You see, Bass doesn't want any money wasted on efforts to investigate possible fraud, and we couldn't be less surprised:
Karen Bass won't testify before Congress over alleged fraud involving $1B in federal homelessness funding:

"I cannot attend due to my schedule...They also asked for a ton of documents...you can imagine how much money is being wasted, spent, because you have to have attorneys." pic.twitter.com/malLcPz83L

We can't wait to find out what Bass' "scheduling conflict" ends up being tomorrow.
We can imagine, Karen… no time to testify before Congress, but plenty of time to fly to Ghana while your city burns 🔥🔥 (only a matter of time until you’re EXPOSED!) 👀🍿 https://t.co/CVYzTcxPj6

Typical... Democrat believes it's wasting money to provide documents to Congress to investigate.

But the $1 billion fraud in federal homelessness funding is nothing to see. https://t.co/EbGaJmmaXv
Spending money to investigate possible fraud is a waste of taxpayer dollars, but the actual fraud is just fine.
Funny, they don’t care how much money is being spent on attorneys when they’re going after Trump.

Funny how that works, right?
