Democrat Sen. Mark Kelly claims a passenger on his recent Boston-to-Phoenix flight left him a note on his plane seat while he was in the restroom. He posted a picture of the dubious handwritten letter on X. The passenger’s plea appears to be written in pencil on a napkin. No one is buying this ridiculous story.
Have a look. (READ)
On a flight from Boston to Phoenix and this note was in my seat when I returned from the restroom. I think this shows how much an entire generation is struggling. Whether it’s my own kids or a random person on a random flight, young people are frustrated. There is massive anxiety… pic.twitter.com/RIFRVawqzc

(post continues) ...and uncertainty about the future. This government hasn’t done jack sh** for hardworking young Americans who have done everything right…..but if you are a billionaire with a big stock portfolio and a bigger tax cut, Trump’s "Golden Age" has arrived.
On a napkin bro?

Show me your handwriting.
The only question here is did you write the note yourself or make a staffer do it?
— Will, politically homeless once again (@spudhawg) September 10, 2026
We’re thinking Kelly wrote it during his toilet time.
As with any of these unlikely convenient stories, they crumble under logic. You have to accept that a passenger would recognize Kelly, be a fellow Democrat who watched him like a hawk to know when he got up, and have the letter already written while anticipating Kelly would leave his seat during the flight. So posters came to the obvious conclusion — it didn’t happen.

Why would this person not just ask to speak to you? Oh, I know……, IT’S BECAUSE IT DIDN’T HAPPEN.

This never happened, just like Democrat Chris Murphy’s recent nonsensical bus-taking homeless couple story.
Commenters tried their hand at some Kellyesque in-flight napkin notes. Theirs all come across as more believable.
I was sitting on the back of the plane. I went to the bathroom, and that's the note I found on my seat when I returned. pic.twitter.com/MyP5BSz6sP

This has a better chance of being real than the one Kelly posted

Awesome maybe you should be on board with ending the disastrous H1-B program and deporting all the illegal aliens that are making our housing and healthcare insanely expensive.

A new style of meme was just born Thr Mark Kelly note meme.
— bryko (@brkohn) September 10, 2026
These really landed. We’re hoping this meme idea takes off.
Posters say Kelly made the same conceited mistake as Jussie Smollett: overestimating his recognizability.
Yes, you are so famous and memorable there isn’t a 25 year old out there who wouldn’t recognize you.

Markeeta Kelly, is that you? Don't forget your pencil and napkins!
