Lay Off of Wajahat Ali, Who Is ‘Just a Small-Time Podcast Host Who Drives a Minivan’

As our own Just Mindy reported on Friday, Wajahat Ali, a regular guest on Mehdi Hasan and Joy Reid's MSNBC shows, nodded along as his podcast guest, Rula Jebreal, a Palestinian journalist and currently a visiting professor at the University of Miami, called House Minority Leader Extreme Hakeem Jeffries a "monkey" and an "errand boy." As Mindy followed up on Saturday, Ali and Jebreal rushed to Joy Reid's podcast for rehabilitation. As one person posted, the "find a black person OK with the racism" tour has begun.

Ali also posted to X, suggesting people pick on Laura Loomer and John Fetterman, as he's just "a small-time podcast host who drives a minivan."

"Oh well. Enjoy Labor Day weekend, everyone," he concluded.

The post continues:

… you said “Not to be racist but” before you said it. If you say not to be racist you are, by definition, not being racist.

2. Offense:  Accuse critics of being the Real Racists.

3. Misdirection: Just start talking about Israel. Everyone will get mad and forget about the thing you said.

4.  Sympathy:  You’re just a poor baby podcaster. Why do people even CARE what you said. You drive a MINIVAN for Christ’s sake.  A MINIVAN.

"I'm just a small-time podcaster who drives a minivan. You should be going after Bill Maher for being a genocide apologist!"
