First Assistant United States Attorney Bill Essayli appeared with Fox News' Bill Melugin to discuss the case of a Honduran national who had illegally registered to vote in California. Essayli said that California works on the honor system and added that, according to the Secretary of State, half a million people don't even provide a driver's license and Social Security number that this noncitizen was able to provide. California boasted years ago that more than a million illegal immigrants had been issued driver's licenses.
California does NOT check if you’re a citizen when you register to vote. It’s based on the honor system. This allows people like this defendant to easily register to vote and participate in our elections. According to @CASOSVote, approx. 400k registered to vote without providing…

This is the tip of the iceberg. More arrests are coming.
Spoke w/ @USAttyEssayli this morning about the Honduran non-citizen DOJ arrested in LA on Friday, who they say checked a box and falsely attested that he’s a U.S. citizen when registering to vote in CA. He signed under penalty of perjury.

In CA, nobody verifies it. Honor system. https://t.co/9wrIPlM51l
Eric Daugherty has posted a longer clip from the interview in which the illegal was taunting an ICE agent via text.
🚨 HOLY CRAP! The Honduran noncitizen who illegally registered to vote in California was HARASSING and TEXTING an ICE agent how he plans to vote Democrat in the midterms

...so then the ICE agent checked his status and found out he was an ILLEGAL VOTER

… no fear whatsoever harassing an ICE agent, letting him know how he's planning to vote in the midterms and wants to take their immunity away."
"That, obviously, got the agent interested to see whether he WAS registered to vote. That's how he came on their radar."
"He found out there are consequences. MULTIPLE felonies and DEPORTATION if convicted," Bill Essayli says
Send him back!
Noncitizens shouldn't even have driver's licenses, let alone Social Security numbers. This makes us wonder about that "software error" at the BMV in New Jersey that registered 6,000 noncitizens to vote. The vendor that supplies the software says it's not an error on its part. The error is that you can just hit "Yes" on the kiosk when it asks if you're a U.S. citizen, and you're registered.
This is emblematic of how media, politicians and CA coddling has emboldened agitators. Media and politicians know their audience is willfully misinformed.

This highlights how stupid these illegals are.

Exactly why they all have to go.
Wait, wait, his name is Darwin? 😳😳

You can't make this up. 🤣🤣🤣
What do you mean “if convicted”? This is in California, he’ll get let off and let out very soon
— MissEdie (@MsEdieMS) August 31, 2026
Start arresting the people responsible for allowing illegals to register to vote
— Huckleberry (@UnckleDoc) August 31, 2026
Democrats are going to have to send him a mail in ballot for the midterms.
— Monger (@Mongrrr) August 31, 2026
The bigger issue isn’t who he planned to vote for. It’s that a noncitizen allegedly registered in the first place. If the system allowed it once, how many other questionable registrations are sitting on the rolls?

A lot.
The entitlement of these illegals…
