Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Has a Demand of His Own After MN AG Sues to Force Extradition of ICE Agent

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison wants the nation to know that he's serious about enforcing laws in his state, not counting anybody who's in the U.S. illegally or other lawbreakers that the Democrats seem to consider a protected class.

Yesterday we told you about Ellison suing the state of Texas in an attempt to force the extradition of an ICE agent charged in a shooting:

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison sued Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Tuesday to force the extradition of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent charged with assault in connection with a non-fatal shooting during an enforcement operation.

In May, Minnesota officials charged Christian Castro with four counts of second-degree assault and one count of falsely reporting a crime, alleging that he fired a gun into the front door of a Minneapolis home, striking the leg of Julio Sosa-Celis, a Venezuelan immigrant. Former acting ICE Director Todd Lyons previously said Castro and another ICE agent lied when they claimed Sosa-Celis had attacked them with a shovel and broom.

Abbott responded in a manner that Ellison was begging for:

“While they’re making demands, I’ve got a demand of my own: It’s time for Minnesota to repay the American people for the fraud committed in their state involving federal programs.”

Ouch!

Your move, AG Ellison and Gov. Walz.

Ellison does have his "priorities," and protecting illegal aliens and enabling fraudsters are among them.
