As we reported earlier, CNN posted that the Department of Education had launched a Title IX investigation into Smith College — an all-women's college — in the Trump administration's "latest move to limit trans rights." Now, here's Reuters reporting on a demonstration against the Supreme Court's recent ruling that race-based congressional districts are unconstitutional. According to Reuters, though, the Supreme Court "gutted a core Voting Rights Act protection." This is what happens when you hire activists to cover news stories.

You'll notice that the caption in the video waters it down a bit, but not much: "Demonstrators in New Orleans protest a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that weakens the Voting Rights Act." Weakens? How about, "upheld the Voting Rights Act?"

It's not that hard to get it right. Just say demonstrators marched against a SCOTUS ruling that they say gutted a core Voting Rights Act protection. They'd be saying so incorrectly, but at least try to keep it factual, Reuters.
