Just a few days ago, CNN’s John King asked us all to “give Democrats some grace” — after all, “governing is hard, especially when you have tiny margins.” Thank goodness for those tiny margins or inflation would be even worse than it is now, and it’s already at a 40-year high.
We don’t usually feature Twitter randos, but sometimes a take is just so hot it needs airing out. What if the problem is just that things just aren’t under President Joe Biden’s immediate control at the moment? We say this as Democrats are frantically searching for an electable replacement for Biden for 2024.
Telling Joe Biden to “just do something” is like telling someone with clinical depression to “just be happy” or telling someone with an anxiety disorder to “just calm down.”
He’s aware of what the problem is. He knows what would fix it. It’s just out of his immediate control.
