Biden inaugural committee channels The Simpsons by bringing in famous actor to tell Americans how great things are going

Yesterday afternoon, President Biden spent nearly two hours answering mostly softball questions from reporters (and berating those who dared do otherwise). The Biden administration and other Democrats — and even some “journalists” — are of course giving Biden rave reviews. Judging from approval polls, Americans disagree with Biden that all is well. The White House seems to realize that because at the end of year one for Biden it’s already “bring in a celebrity to tell everything how great things are going” time:

What’s more “in touch” with the regular people who are enduring inflation, high gas prices and empty shelves than by having a super-rich actor tell them everything’s going wonderfully?

It would have seemed more fitting if Hanks did the pro-Biden piece in character as Forrest Gump.
