'Janey-come-lately': Wasserman Schultz finally calls on sleazy San Diego mayor to resign

At least seven women have now come forward to accuse San Diego Mayor Bob Filner of unwanted sexual advances, but Democratic women politicians have been conspicuously silent on the matter of the handsy harasser.

For years, Nancy Pelosi had enabled former colleague Filner’s behavior:

After initially downplaying their friendship, Pelosi at last courageously pronounced that Filner’s conduct was “reprehensible”:

Perhaps Nancy’s tortoise-like initiative inspired her friend Debbie Wasserman Schultz. The DNC chair has finally spoken out against filthy Filner:

Well, nice to see that she got around to addressing the War on Women eventually, right?

“The misconduct Mayor Bob Filner has been accused of is reprehensible and indefensible. I am personally offended by his actions and I firmly believe no employee should face a hostile environment or harassment at their place of employment. There is no place for this type of conduct in the workplace and certainly not in our city halls and public offices.

“For the good of the City of San Diego, I call on Mayor Filner to resign.”

Gee, Debbie. What a bold stance.

You know what personally offends us, Debbie? The fact that a woman who claims to work tirelessly to combat misogyny and the mistreatment of other women couldn’t bother to comment on a serial pervert until today.

How many more weeks — and victims — will it take before she confronts the other sickos infesting the Democratic Party?

Her silence speaks volumes.

Amen to that.
