Slate says you might be questioning how well the COVID vaccine works 'even if you're not a right-wing pundit'

There have been plenty of hot takes on the death of Colin Powell: he was double-vaccinated against COVID-19, after all. He was also 84 and had multiple myeloma. A CNN panel has already discussed if a booster shot would have saved his life. Another troll has suggested he died not because he was vaccinated but because you weren’t.

Slate is stepping up to explain the complicating factors behind Powell’s death, citing one tweet to suggest that “right-wing pundits are using Powell’s vaccination status to question the effectiveness of vaccines and rail against mandates.” But Slate understands that even people who aren’t right-wing pundits might be questioning the efficacy of the vaccine.
