Glenn Thrush notes Okla. senators are 'spending skeptic' and 'global warming denier'

Don’t judge Politico’s Glenn Thrush for judging Oklahoma senators Tom Coburn and Jim Inhofe. Coburn invited criticism by voting against the pork-filled Sandy aid package and then revealing he’d seek spending offsets to pay for any federal assistance with tornado disaster recovery. It was shocking that Coburn would even think of money at a time like this — particularly to those waiting for Coburn to announce if he’d seek spending offsets.

Climate change? That speaks for itself, doesn’t it? Those senators were practically begging to be hit with a tornado by denying man-made climate change.

Is this sarcasm or a rare incidence of self-awareness?

Here’s one of those questions journalists like Thrush never seem to ask.
