KFOR in Oklahoma City is reporting some terrifying news for the area: a tornado more than a mile wide is being reported moving toward the city Monday afternoon.

The tornado has passed through Moore, Okla., and residents are currently emerging from shelters and surveying the rubble.

Two schools — Briarwood Elementary and Plaza Tower Elementary — are reported to have been hit.
