So what kicked off the bizarre hashtag?

Jai Brooks is a member of the Janoskians, a teen YouTube comedy group based in Australia. Brooks has over 800,000 Twitter followers and the Janoskians have even grabbed the attention of Ellen DeGeneres.

In a series of since-deleted tweets, Brooks used the #RapedByASlothAndItWasAmazing hashtag to launch a follow spree on Twitter.
