The power of Twitter: Taft High kids convince Stan Lee to reach out to shooting victim Bowe Cleveland; Update: Lee records video for Bowe

After 16-year-old Bryan Oliver allegedly shot classmate Bowe Cleveland last week at Taft Union High School in Taft, Calif., students launched a Twitter campaign to persuade Spider-Man creator Stan Lee to visit their injured friend in the hospital. Cleveland is a huge fan of Spider-Man.

After a full week of #StanLeeMeetBowe tweets, Lee finally responded on Tuesday.

The teens were thrilled with their success and grateful to Lee for responding.
