Washington, DC's Red Line train delayed due to … childbirth

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority appreciates your patience tonight on the Red Line, as delays are expected due to a woman giving birth on the train. The Metro did send out this advisory on Twitter:

No, no one’s live-tweeting the delivery as far as we know, but a Washington Post reporter did let people know just what was going on.

We’re happy to know the baby is going to be born in the hospital and not on the D.C. Metro, as are these folks.
