As late Friday night/early morning wears on, the scene in Ferguson has degenerated quickly. Reporters have been tweeting about looters threatening them verbally and with assorted weapons.
Some people want to believe the thugs are really police.
@ByronTau @ryanjreilly I wonder if they are under cover cops initiating a violence. It's not unheard of. They did it during occupy protest

But this is happening: Looters are grabbing liquor and lottery tickets by the fistful.

Justice! Fairness! Lottery tickets and booze! those are all synonymous, right? https://t.co/ei0IEw8sdq

Young guys slipping into the Ferguson meat market again. This is still going. Cops haven't (apparently) budged.

@mattdpearce Cops can't be called criminals then be expected to act as heroes so swiftly

Tried to get to the police line to ask them what they're doing. Demonstration leaders begged me not to go further, to draw a crowd.

Touché.:
@mattdpearce I don't blame them for not speaking to the press.

Well, @ShimonPro you journalists have been complaining about strong police presence for days, now you complain there is not enough?
