As Twitchy reported, driver Kevin Ward was killed after being struck by NASCAR driver Tony Stewart this weekend. Twitter users have been arguing whether Tony Stewart should race on Sunday. The argument is now moot, as it has been decided that Stewart will not race.
The race itself will go on and driver Jimmie Johnson expressed his thoughts prior to the race.
Racing with a heavy heart today…
Thoughts and prayers for the Ward family.— Jimmie Johnson (@JimmieJohnson) August 10, 2014
Amen.
