For all intents and purposes, it seems Democrats are set for a huge blue wave at the midterm elections. Americans are fed up with the prices of gas and groceries and they are going to take out their frustration on Republicans.
Let’s admit it: Donald Trump’s second term so far has been a wild success.
I’m surprised to find myself standing up as a Trump defender — and more surprised still that so few others seem motivated to do it.
After all, I still don’t own a MAGA hat, and my vote for him in 2024 was my first.
I spent years as a Trump skeptic, voting third party in 2016 and not casting a presidential ballot at all in 2020.
Yes, I’m embarrassed to admit I was one of those “what’s the difference, man” dummies.
Then I saw what happened through four damaging years of President Joe Biden’s misbegotten administration.

Karol Markowicz thinks it's important for voters to think back to a mere two years ago when Biden was in charge and recall exactly how bad things were. Things were really, really bad.

People forget the open border and the millions of people who flooded across it during Biden’s term. They forget about peaceful pro-life protesters who were arrested simply for praying outside abortion clinics and sent to federal prison for God only knows how long. Remember, Trump had to pardon them. Voters forget about the January 6 defendants who were treated like dirt while leftists could burn down whole cities without consequence. In Washington, D.C. right now, leftists can basically get away with anything because juries won’t convict them for political violence as long as it’s directed at conservatives. That is how Democrats weaponize power. Yes, gas prices are awful. Buying ground beef is ridiculous. Democrats won’t fix any of that.
It matters who is in power and we are fooling ourselves if we believe otherwise.
Inflation hit over 9% because of unchecked government spending.
The Biden administration extended Title IX, the federal civil rights law protecting women, to include men pretending to be women.
His toadies and their media friends spent four years pretending Biden was just fine before finally having to admit he wasn’t.
And so on.
All this came before the far-left Democratic Socialists of America took over the Democratic Party.
What happens when a party run by people who want to close prisons, end capitalism and open borders gets into power?
I’m not looking forward to finding out.
All those terrible things happened under Biden who is supposed to be a 'moderate'. The Democrat Party has veered so much further Left since then. Most of the candidates they've selected this cycle are actually socialists. It's going to be so much worse. Please, America. Wake up from this complacency.
