Gavin Newsom seems to have a problem differentiating between one body and another separate body. It's not surprising because COVID showed us he doesn't really understand 'Science' all that much.

Sure, Gavin, happy to help. I've been pregnant twice so I feel qualified to speak on the subject, During my first pregnancy, I was pregnant with a boy baby. He had a body and that was separate from my body. That one should be easy to understand because I'm a girl and he's a boy. We have different plumbing, so clearly we aren't the same people. Now, the second pregnancy may confuse you, Gav, because we are both girls. She is a different girl than me, though. She has red hair and I have brown hair that I dye. Maybe that will help you see the difference. She's also much younger and more attractive. She gets to decide what to do with her body even though her body was once inside my body, briefly.
