Wake up! Robert Kennedy's run as an independent could DOOM a divided GOP in 2024

Twitter

Today, we told you about the plan for Robert Kennedy to run as an independent and announce as early as October. While this seems to be terrible news for the Democrats, as Kennedy is a descendant of Democratic royalty, it likely could be a much bigger problem for Republicans.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. hinted strongly on Friday that he would run for president on a third-party ticket instead of continuing his long-shot Democratic primary challenge to President Biden, a move that would set off alarms among Democrats worried about its potential to cause chaos in November 2024.

Democrats follow the party line. They vote for the candidate. They vote blue, no matter who. Even if they are less than excited about the possibility of four more years of Biden, if he is the guy, they will hold their noses and go vote for the dinosaur. There is a very real chance Biden may be replaced with a younger candidate and that also will not be RFK, Jr. He has his own mind and that is not permitted in ranks of today's Leftists.

The person who wins will likely do so by slim margins in a few states. A popular third party candidate with high name recognition could throw a huge wrench in any Republican campaign's plan.

RFK, Jr. has been held up as a COVID superstar for fighting against the accepted Leftist narrative on the jab. Unfortunately, that raised his visibility among conservatives concerned about medical privacy and his independent run then becomes very problematic for the right.

This is exactly right. Republicans should not fall for the 'enemy of our enemy is our friend'. RFK, Jr. is not an enemy to the Democrats. They don't like his vaccine and medical privacy beliefs, but otherwise, he is in lockstep with Barack Obama's Democratic party. During COVID, it was comforting to find any ally on the left side of the aisle possible. Now, it is time for reckoning and coalescing around the eventual GOP candidate. If we do not, we as Republicans, are handing 2024 to the Democrats.
