Fretting about polling numbers in June the year before an election is a fruitless experience, as illustrated by what the Republican primary polls looked like in June of 2015.

We have a long way to go.

And not just in primary polls, but also in general election polls that say Trump is going to lose in a landslide, as pointed out by Mara Liasson.

Republicans had an unusual scenario with Trump coming from nowhere to take the whole thing over and never look back.

Democrats do not (at least for now) have such a person waiting in the wings.

But hey, we’re down to ONLY 505 DAYS ‘TIL THE 2020 ELECTION!
