We regret to inform the COVID-19 alarmists that we’ll be just fine now that the Delta variant is taking hold here in the United States.
From infectious disease expert Amesh Adalja, on MSNBC no less:

And we “are going to be protected from the delta variant because we’ve had many of the high-risk people vaccinated”:

Dr. Scott Gottlieb said the same thing on CNBC earlier today:
"Our mitigation should be reactive not proactive. We shouldn't be shutting things down, putting in mask mandates in anticipation of spread. Based on what’s happening in the UK, unvaccinated people are getting it but hospitalizations and deaths are not rising:

In other words, the vaccines are working:

The CDC isn’t changing its recommendations, at least not yet:
