Oh, man! Remember the Queens DA race we told you about where Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was doing a victory dance after her preferred candidate, Tiffany Cabán, declared victory?

And Cabán has been doing interviews and making appearances as if she won:

BUT, SURPRISE! Melinda Katz is now in the lead:
big turnaround in Queens: It appears ≈4,300 ballots were counted today, & Melinda Katz won them by ≈28%, putting her in the *lead* over Tiffany Cabán by 20 votes: https://t.co/jQ4jmKZkhR

It looks like it’s going to a manual recount and thousands of absentee ballots allegedly for Cabán have been thrown out:
EMERGENCY: The Democratic machine in Queens has waited until the hours before the 4th of July holiday to try to steal the election for District Attorney from @CabanForQueens.
They threw out 2,300 votes from Election Day, most belonging to Cabán and now say Katz is ahead. LIES

The latest is that Melinda Katz is ahead by 20 votes:
Democratic source says @MelindaKatz is AHEAD of @CabanForQueens by 20 votes.
Final count has now been completed, including absentee ballots and affidavits.
This will likely trigger a full recount.

And Cabán supporters are PISSED:

Get those blue suits out of the cleaners everyone, because this one’s going to court:
Source close to @CabanForQueens says they believe there are thousands of affidavits that should be counted, and they plan on arguing that in court.

Popcorn time:
Caban team did file an Order to Show Cause yesterday and will be in court on July 9. Would not be surprised to see the disqualification of affidavit ballots litigated. However no argument if voter is not a registered Dem in Queens. #QueensDA pic.twitter.com/SD80OcW0cD
