'METAPHOR ALERT?' Tent at Andrew Gillum outdoor watch party springs a leak, sends reporters scrambling

Florida Democrat Andrew Gillum thought it would be a good idea to have his election night watch party outside…

Big mistake!

It’s raining pretty heavily now, with some flashes of thunder. Would-be attendees are waiting out the downpour by a student dining hall. Metaphor alert? It’s pouring, deluging in Tallahassee at Gillum’s election night party.

One hour until polls close. But I wonder who’s gonna vote in this slop

The torrential downpour then sent the party into chaos after the tent sprung a leak, drenching reporters and equipment in the process:

It’s insanity at Gillum headquarters right now. There’s a torrential downpour. The campaign is trying to move dozens of local, state and national media out of the tent to an inside location. Meanwhile camera operators are desperately trying to keep their equipment dry.

But don’t worry. The media has been evacuated to a secure location with a Chick-fil-A:
