In a now deleted tweet, Marie Claire magazine thought it would be a fun idea to do a story on Meghan Markle and a single gray hair you can only see if you zoom in really, really close on a picture that was snapped of the soon-to-be princess after she left her home:
Twitter, to say the least, was not amused:
CANCEL THE WEDDING….
wait no, CANCEL MARIE CLAIRE https://t.co/1sqX7kdQ2R

Be prepared for pain, Marie Claire:
"This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this." https://t.co/ChU1FShqbM

Not only was it a dumb take, but it was wrong. We see more gray hairs in that zoomed in pic:
It looks like theres more than one https://t.co/3DG6dJnYBF

Ok, weirdos. There's a second one at 2:00. Who cares?

It appears Marie Claire didn’t think this one through, especially in light of how Princess Diana was treated by the press:

Whoever pitched this “story” needs to never pitch another story again.

Y’all are really paying people to write this article and social media people to tweet it?

Dread to think how many words this article would be if I clicked the link.

What’s worse for Marie Claire is that they were actually trying to say the gray hair was empowering, but you only figure that out if you click the link:

Meghan Markle Has a Single Gray Hair
And it is magnificent.Important news: Meghan Markle, human, has a gray hair. She revealed this truth when she left the house and it was, well, right there on her head.
It is glorious because, same.
Whoops:
The actual article has a much nicer tone than the tweet would have you believe; but either way I bet my boots this will be the most-clicked thing on Marie Claire today https://t.co/D305dd9Hkp

But even folks who read the article still hated it:
no amount of "yas queen own that gray hair" excuses the fact that this would literally never be written about a man ? https://t.co/5VMfierf64

The article, however, is still live. Check it out for yourselves:
?tweet deleted but the article lives on…it's 2018; there are surely a million other things @marieclaire could invest resource into writing about https://t.co/2br1vS5xeg pic.twitter.com/PUdWNZElrV
