As for USC players in the tournament, they’ll be watching at home. You see, they’re under FBI investigation over illegal payments to players and it’s thought the NCAA didn’t pick them for the tourney this year just to avoid the embarrassment:

So here's the thing about USC, Okla State and Louisville (FBI investigation teams) not making the field.
While you can make a case for each you can also make a pretty clear case against each so i'm not much for the conspiracy theory.
