On Rush Limbaugh’s show today, he pushed back on President Donald Trump inserting himself into the entire debate over NFL players and the national anthem.

You can listen to the clip here, but the jist of it is that it’s a “slippery slope” and that whatever Trump forces the owners to do will eventually come back to bite conservatives when a liberal is president again. Mind you, Limbaugh thinks the owners should make standing for the national anthem mandatory, but as a condition of their employment that has nothing to do with an order from the White House.
