The UPI Twitter account took a sudden turn for the disturbing today, featuring tweets about war beginning with China and the Pope declaring that WWIII is under way:
The New York Post also tweeted about China firing a missile at a U.S. ship, and that has been deleted:

So now @nypostbiz–which earlier confirmed that the main @nypost account had been hacked–has been hacked.

But, there’s nothing to fear. The Navy Times has confirmed everything is fine:
If you're reading tweets about the carrier George Washington and China, all is fine. @UPI has been hacked. Carry on.

And Michael Gray, Sunday Business Editor for the New York Post, tweeted that their account had been hacked as well.
