If there's one thing Americans can count on when Democrats don't get their way, it's that the theater kid in all of them will come screaming to the forefront.
Sadly, these days, when Democrats don't get what they want, they are also becoming increasingly violent, but that's a topic for another time (and one I have written about before).
For today, I will focus on how they are just always the most insufferable drama queens imaginable.
How else does anyone explain Hakeem Jeffries narcissistically blathering on for NINE HOURS yesterday when he already knew that it would mean absolutely nothing regarding the passage of the Big Beautiful Bill?
Or Maxine Waters, LaMonica McIver, and other Democrats screeching to be admitted into ICE facilities when they have no appointment, and they know they are going to be denied entry?
Or Jose ... err, 'Alex' ... Padilla acting like an unhinged lunatic at a Tulsi Gabbard press conference when he knew that all he had to do to speak with her was ask her for a meeting?
I could go on and on, but you get the gist. It's all theater. Because the Democrats have no message. All they can do is try to emotionally manipulate people with scripted outbursts.
This brings me to the aftermath of the BBB's passage yesterday. Our Sam Janney already covered many of the meltdowns from the left yesterday, but unhinged outbursts are just one side of the left's comedy/tragedy masks.
They also want us to believe they are emotionally DEVASTATED at the millions of Americans who will 'literally die' because the bill wants to reserve Medicaid for only those who deserve it.
Maybe no one captured the Democrats' melodrama quite as well as California Representative Jimmy Gomez, who Getty News 'captured' openly weeping on the Capitol steps.

I put 'captured' in quotation marks because there is no way that this was a candid moment.
I am not saying that the Getty photographer was in cahoots with Gomez, but there is zero chance that he did not know she was there. And there is zero chance he did not pose for this image like Greg Casar on a nine-hour hunger strike.

Remember that guy?
Or how about Cori Bush, who also went on a strike on the Capitol steps, surrounded by Oreos and potato chips?

Bush's stunt was so popular that her own party rejected her in a 2024 primary.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
The point is, it's all fake. Democrats do not care about the American people. They only care about power. But they mistakenly still believe they can tug on our heartstrings, and we won't all just laugh at them.
Back in the world of reality, Democrats, ironically, DO have a good reason to cry after the BBB was passed. But it has nothing to do with Medicaid, Planned Parenthood, tax cuts, no tax on tips, or any of the other features they've been incessantly whining about.
Democrats should be panicking because the BBB demolishes their political strategy for the future: illegal immigration.
Benny Johnson summed up just how devastating this aspect of the bill is for the left.
Why are Democrat Congressmen sobbing on the steps of the US Capitol like weepy children?

Because they know it’s over.
Once 20 million criminal aliens are deported, they have no future. No path to power. They’ll lose 25 house seats and every Presidential for a generation.… pic.twitter.com/Cpk68B4qOO

Permanent minority.
They bet against America, and America fought back. Now they are undone. The money is gone. The power is gone. The future is gone. The modern Democrat party is dead.
With the bill's passage and President Trump's signature expected today, ICE now has the resources that Tom Homan has been begging for the past six months. Over the next few years, either through forced deportation or self-deportation, the Department of Homeland Security can follow through on a promise to get rid of MILLIONS of illegals who the Democrats are counting on to sway elections.
Combine that with Trump's plan to remove from the census ALL illegals who may remain in the country, and not only are the Democrats not a viable national party anymore, but many swing states and districts will turn red, hard blue states will lose representatives in Congress, and -- as Johnson noted -- Demcrats could very easily become a permanent minority party. Or disband altogether and try to resurrect themselves as something else.
And this isn't even getting into the fact that the left's illicit fundraising arm, ActBlue, has been exposed and is under serious investigation. That endless money well is drying up, just like the money well from the now-shuttered USAID.
Democrat politicians like Jimmy Gomez will continue to stage photos like this and shed their crocodile tears for the camera. Let them. Nobody cares.
But behind the scenes, in places where they say the quiet part out loud, we know they are crying real tears. Because if Homan and ICE are successful, the BBB spells the end of the Democrat Party as we know it today.
