As you probably know, Wisconsin Democrat candidate for governor Francesca Wong has been caught expressing her disdain for many traditional U.S. holidays. The DSA-aligned socialist has said she would like to cancel Thanksgiving, and she also apparently loathes Christmas, Halloween, Independence Day and Valentine's Day. Does this communist know how to party, or what!?
Hong's people must have shown her some internal polling on the Thanksgiving thing, because this is what happened next:
Francesca Hong WALKS BACK her 2020 tweet in which she wants to cancel Thanksgiving, telling Politico:
— Townhall.com (@townhallcom) August 5, 2026
"I don't want to cancel it. I actually love it."

She's SO genuine (cue massive eye roll).
Bill Maher has slowly been getting red pilled because of all these DSA Dems, and Hong and her disingenuous pivots on previous comments are no different. Watch:
Bill Maher ERUPTS on Francesca Hong’s claim that she never wanted to cancel Thanksgiving.
— The Vigilant Fox 🦊 (@VigilantFox) August 8, 2026
“I DON’T BELIEVE YOU! ... You meant it... she hates all holidays.”
Then he dropped the receipts:
“Democrats have found a candidate who hates Thanksgiving and wants to get rid of it. Yes.… pic.twitter.com/4z4CQ0mpHS
If Hong wins the primary this coming Tuesday rest assured she'll spend the ensuing few weeks pretending to be everything she's definitely not.
She’s toast. https://t.co/iebOFdwTG3

We certainly hope so. Tom Tiffany will be the only sane and common sense option on the ballot for governor in November.
