Here's How You Know WH Press and Dems Saying the WHCD Was an Embarrassment for Trump Are Full of It

The thing about President Trump's speech at the White House Correspondents' Dinner that the media's pretending not to understand (or actually don't get) is that the jokes and other remarks weren't written for many of the "journalists" in that room. The gathered press were the punchline and hated what was said because comments like this from Trump are completely true and many of the gathered journos didn't appreciate the reminder:

Yep, nothing pisses "journalists" off more than having to listen to somebody explain what it is they actually do for a living, and the humorless scolds at The Washington Post were among the mortified.

Like I said, Trump's speech wasn't written for these people, and it showed:

However, the media's desired spin afterwards was that Trump's speech was boring at best, and "bombed" at worst.

The Daily Beast of course was among lefty media outlets saying Trump's speech was a "trainwreck."

CNN's resident Tater, Brian Stelter, said Trump bombed, but that assumes the jokes were written to make the gathered media hacks laugh, which wasn't the case.

Stelter said some in attendance suggested there shouldn't be another WHCD with Trump in office.

That really struck me as funny. The TDS crowd, which includes much of the media, say that Trump's appearance at the WHCD was a train wreck and a total embarrassment for the president. These are the same people saying they don't want the event to happen again? Something doesn't add up.

In actuality what appears to have happened is that the lib media does not want to be given a very public wedgie ever again.
