There used to be a rule of thumb in politics that you can insult your opponent, but don't belittle or slam voters in general because some of them can be won over. Those days are over. As we all know one of the most infamous breakers of that "rule" happened when Hillary Clinton called millions and millions of Trump supporters deplorable:
That worked out just great... for Trump and the Republicans. Hillary's been angry and bitter ever since.
After that Joe Biden ended up calling some Trump supporters "garbage," which culminated in the Dems showing Joe to the door and nominating Kamala Harris, who got crushed in the 2024 election.
Senator Jon Ossoff of Georgia is taking a page from Hillary by basically saying that Trump has won two terms because of the diseased people who voted for him. Of course he told this to Stephen Colbert on his "DNC After Dark" program:

Ossoff is looking at it backwards. Trump won because there's a disease, but that comes by way of many of the lunatics in the Democratic Party. Trump won a second term (and every single swing state) because voters rejected the Left's crazed insanity.

What's the DNC going to do after Colbert's canceled in a few weeks? There are only so many Democrats that Kimmel can have on at one time to call Republicans Nazi garbage.
Imagine being on the side that thinks men should be able to compete in women's sports, abortion should be allowed up to the point of birth and violent criminal illegals shouldn't be deported thinking Trump voters are the ones who are "diseased."
