As we've seen in the fairly recent past, Democrats and assorted lefties have had an affinity for taking video of a Republican waving to a crowd and then claiming the person made a "Nazi salute."
CNN was of course a willing participant in pushing one such video of Elon Musk last summer:
Within 24 hours of Elon’s “salute,” CNN was in full propaganda mode, booking Democrats to emphatically declare it was a “Nazi salute."

However, when the roles are reversed the Left does NOT appreciate their "rule" being used against their own.
Such was the case with this video of Zohran Mamdani that's going around:

The "Mamdani Press Account," which say it operates independent from the NYC Mayor's office, got ratioed after this denial:
