Ex WaPo Fact Checker Glenn Kessler's Latest Doesn't Exactly Validate Past Claims of Impartiality

Earlier this month, after having announced he'd taken a buyout offer from the Washington Post, that paper's former lead fact-checker tried to defend his record to Mark Halperin. One of the topics was the media helping Democrats cover for then President Biden's cognitive state by pretending Joe was the person making the decisions at the White House.

But, according to Kessler, "we tried" to get the story out.

Looking back, no, the only thing Kessler and the Post tried to do was help the Biden White House press office spread their talking points:

Karine Jean-Pierre put out the "cheap fakes" spin and much of the media, including supposed "fact checkers," dutifully repeated it.

Fast forward to this week, and Kessler now has a Substack and it appears he can be a little more open about what he really believes, not that it wasn't already obvious when he was called a "fact checker":

Well, there it is.

Alternate headline for that Substack piece:

That's way better.

Kessler's always favored whatever the Democrat preferred narrative of the day was, but now it appears he's feeling more liberated to let his inner Acosta fly.

It never should have been there in the first place. Here are a few more examples why:

Before addressing what he called "Trump's bullshit" maybe Kessler should first do a little introspection about his own.

Well, "fact checker" is no longer in his bio so maybe that feels liberating to this particular "journalist."
