People are a bit creeped out (for multiple reasons) by latest example of Dr. Fauci worship

The worship of Dr. Anothony Fauci on the Left and in the media (again, pardon the redundancy) started back in 2020, and might be best highlighted among politicians by Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and her Fauci pillow:

It's now about three and a half years since the Covid pandemic began, and the former NIAID chief who has lied about numerous things related to the virus's origins (and other things -- just ask Sen. Rand Paul), but he's still got his superfans.

This is from ABC News chief White House correspondent Jon Karl:

Ah, "journalism"!

Do these people realize how incredibly creepy this is? Also the "worship" isn't remotely warranted:

I'm just guessing Gretchen Whitmer will be bidding on that Fauci drawing -- it'll look great next to her pillow.

Hero worship of Fauci is apparently easier than doing any actual "journalism" about that stuff. They're not about to drop the preferred narrative no matter how discredited it's gotten.

"I'm totally sure that any reporter who would tweet something like that has been very honest and unbiased in their Fauci coverage," said nobody ever!

However, it is helpful from time to time when a "journalist" reminds us that journalism is dead.
