A building in Gaza where reporters for the Associated Press, Al Jazeera and other media outlets worked has been destroyed by an Israeli airstrike. Israeli Defense Forces warned those in the building to leave ahead of the strike, so nobody who work for those media outlets were hurt, and the IDF also explained the reason the building was brought down:
2/ When Hamas uses a tall building for military purposes, it becomes a lawful military target.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration reminded Israel of their responsibility for the safety and security of journalists:
We have communicated directly to the Israelis that ensuring the safety and security of journalists and independent media is a paramount responsibility.

If Israel had no regard for civilian safety would they have given advanced warning of the strike?
Israel did ensure the safety and security of journalists and independent media, gave them warning to get out of the building they shared with Hamas before it was bombed https://t.co/3BSAKch63W

Circle back with the AP about subletting space from terror groups

Please ask media outlets to do the same by not sharing office space with Hamas, which the US has designated as a terrorist group. https://t.co/T84jcvYk6v

Maybe somebody could ask the heads of those media outlets if they were aware who else was using the building.
Did you communicate to AP and Al Jazeera to not share an office building with Hamas? https://t.co/g2CMPRJ1Z5

I think @IDF agrees as they provided @AP advanced notice to evacuate their journalists from the office building they shared with Hamas. https://t.co/v9avyawjYi

Which they did because no journalist was hurt and the only result of the air strikes is a demolished building that Hamas used as an HQ

Did you also communicate directly to Al Jazeera & AP why they were Ok to share office space with Hamas, a U.S. designated terror group, while they used that same building to store weapons and use premises as launching pad to fire rockets at Israel?

Are you really independent media when your landlord is a terrorist organization? https://t.co/BnNCeJgIG3
