Democrats such as Rep. Eric Swalwell and others have called President Trump’s focus on the caravan making its way north through Mexico a “scaravan stunt.” As the San Diego Border Patrol tweeted today, some members of what the Democrats have waived off as a political “stunt” have arrived at the border:
The first group of the migrant caravan arrived at the Tijuana border yesterday afternoon. #CBP has deployed resources to safely secure the area near Imperial Beach. All seeking entry into the U.S. are urged to present themselves at an official Port of Entry. #USBP pic.twitter.com/uGWUKjxJkj

Some are even scaling fences:
Hundreds of migrants from the caravan reach the U.S. border and scale the small fence that separates Tijuana, Mexico, and San Diego, California.

Secretary of Defense Mattis, who previously said “we don’t do stunts” in response to Democrat accusations, traveled to the border today as troops are deployed:
"It's obviously a moral and ethical mission to support our border patrolmen," Sec. James Mattis says as he travels to visit U.S. troops deployed to the southern border in anticipation of the arrival of a migrant caravan winding north toward the U.S. https://t.co/20NWyqSGql pic.twitter.com/aIYfEK1MXz

CNN’s Jim Acosta was of course right on the money (just kidding):
CNN's chief White House opinionator Jim @Acosta last week: Migrants in the caravan aren't going to be climbing over walls! It's not an invasion!
