President Trump’s tweet last night, as his tweets often do, sparked a lot of controversy and blowback, but three words here caused some head-scratching:
Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 4, 2018
That raised a lot of questions, and New York Magazine’s Washington correspondent had one of them:
Who is Mike?

A USA Today politics reporter had the same level of curiosity:
Also, who is Mike…?
— Christal Hayes (@Journo_Christal) August 4, 2018
As did other blue checks:
Sorry, who is “Mike”?
— Louise Jack (@xloubellxx) August 4, 2018

Who is "Mike" in this very presidential statement?
— Alex Heard (@alexheard) August 4, 2018
There were so many people asking that question we’re surprised “who is Mike” wasn’t trending.
"Who is Mike?" is going to go down in history as one of the great tweets.
