'New line': Obama slightly revises 'if you like your plan you can keep it'

President Obama’s “if you like your plan, you can keep it” promise recently received four Pinocchios from the Washington Post’s fact checker, but the president is moving forward undaunted. Today, during a speech on the health care law in Massachusetts, Obama doubled down on “if you like your plan you can keep it”—with some fresh caveats.

Ah, we see what he did there.

However, Obama’s new phrasing is that he told the truth about “if you like your existing plan you can keep it” in 2010, but that insurance companies moved the goal posts, and besides, you didn’t like your old plan anyway:

After glossing over why “if you like you plan you can keep it” wasn’t a lie even though people are losing their existing plans in droves, Obama went on to say that if you lose your plan, that’s a good thing because you can go get better coverage cheaper:
