Back in April, MSNBC moved “The Ed Show” from weeknight prime time to weekends only. Today, MSNBC announced that Schultz will be moved back to weekdays, and will air in the 5 p.m. slot directly opposite Fox News’ “The Five.”
Here’s an analysis of a possible reason for MSNBC’s latest Schultz move that’s written in easy-to-understand language:
@AdamBaldwin @edshow He is like a booger and they don't know where to wipe him.

But enough technical industry insider lingo.
Some aren’t giving Schultz any chance:
@AdamBaldwin @edshow up against the five, hahahahahaha

@AdamBaldwin @edshow One presumes this is where MSNBC shows go to die.

@AdamBaldwin They can change the time slot around all they want, but the show won't improve any until they change his medication. @edshow

Was the weekend competition too much?

Indeed.
To make room for Schultz at 5 p.m., MSNBC also announced that Chris Matthews’ “Hardball” will have a single tingle at 7 p.m. instead of a double airing with a live show at 5 p.m. and a replay at 7 p.m.
