Jonathan Chait upgrades DeSantis threat level from 'deeply authoritarian' to 'authoritarian to the bone'

A few days ago New York Magazine’s Jonathan Chait referred to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as a “deeply authoritarian figure.”

Apparently that didn’t cut deep enough, because now DeSantis is “authoritarian to the bone”:

It’s as if the Left thinks the more they say “DeSantis is an authoritarian” the more that makes it true. Meanwhile everybody else has seen what’s happened the past couple of years:

To the lefty media, “freedom is fascism” and vice-versa.

And perhaps the reply of the day is to a question about why Cubans who now live in Florida “don’t see” that DeSantis is authoritarian:
