Last week, Nancy Pelosi said that, given what’s going on at the border, she just can’t understand why there aren’t “uprisings all over the country.” Pelosi has also blamed Trump for detention centers she’s very troubled by, calling it child abuse, among other things:
.@realDonaldTrump’s executive order seeks to replace one form of child abuse with another. Every child is entitled to basic human rights. Instead, the President is paving the way for the long-term incarceration of families. https://t.co/kzlWr9y6Zt

Leader @NancyPelosi: “Instead of protecting traumatized children, the President has directed his Attorney General to pave the way for the long-term incarceration of families in prison-like conditions.” #StopSeparatingFamilies #KeepFamiliesTogether https://t.co/wsBgvNoSVK

Pelosi’s tone about the detention centers was very different after she visited one when Obama was president back in 2014:
1/ These remarks by @NancyPelosi after visiting a child detention center in 2014 are… something else:https://t.co/lO4BIBU0ls
— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) June 21, 2018
2/ @NancyPelosi: "What we just saw was so stunning. If you believe, as we do, that every child, every person, has a spark of divinity in them and is therefore worthy of respect, what we saw in those rooms was dazzling – a sparkling array of God’s children, worthy of respect."
— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) June 21, 2018
3/ @NancyPelosi: "So we have to use, as was said this morning, the crisis that some view as a crisis – and it does have crisis qualities – as an opportunity to show who we are as Americans…"
— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) June 21, 2018
4/ @NancyPelosi: "…that we do respect people for their dignity and their worth; that we know how to get the job done, that relates to, again stopping trafficking."
— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) June 21, 2018
5/ @NancyPelosi: “We have the law that established the Department of Homeland Security. We have the Flores decision. So the balance that we’re trying to create is to move these kids, these young people, these families as quickly as possible into another setting…."
— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) June 21, 2018
6/ @NancyPelosi: “We have to do it in a way that meets certain standards – and not, in our rush, not do the best we can for them."
— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) June 21, 2018
For some reason we’re thinking Pelosi would have framed the following differently if Trump had been president at the time:
7/ @NancyPelosi: “Perhaps the most tragic image I will take home with me – and I wish I could take him too – was the little boy who is infected with a virus and then in isolation all by himself. That’s for his safety and the safety of others."
— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) June 21, 2018
More:
8/ @NancyPelosi: “We’re here to thank the Border Patrol. We think they’re doing the best they can under the circumstances. They have handled this well, but the facilities just do not meet the need."
— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) June 21, 2018
9/ @NancyPelosi: "But the purpose of my visit was to see what we in Congress can do to help, to honor the traditions of our country, to respect the dignity and worth of every person, to do so in a way that is not the fastest, but the best – in the shortest period of time."

Here’s a doozy:
More from @NancyPelosi abt child immigration crisis in 2014: "Well, I hope that while some may have tried to politicize it, I hope that was not the case. And I think anyone who comes here knows that this is not about an issue, it’s about a value… that… all Americans share."
— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) June 21, 2018
Nancy Pelosi warning against politicizing something will never stop being funny.
More @NancyPelosi in 2014: "We don’t want our good nature abused by those who would misrepresent what’s happening in the United States on the subject of immigration to affect how we deal with a refugee problem…"https://t.co/lO4BIBU0ls

But that was then, this is now:
Here, on the other hand, is @NancyPelosi from three days ago, after a visit to detention facilities in San Diego: "It’s just so heartbreaking, it so challenges the conscience of our country that it must be changed and it must be changed immediately."https://t.co/6OnKOnkTu3

What a joke.
The Democrats knew everything. All of what was going on. And now they will try to play sergeant Shultz and be astonished that this was going on under their nose the whole time. Obama orchestrated all of this and it's all coming to light now and they are having to act shocked.
