Actor Kevin Spacey’s statement after being accused of unwanted sexual advances toward a then 14-year-old raised a lot of eyebrows:
— Kevin Spacey (@KevinSpacey) October 30, 2017
Rosie O’Donnell had strong words in response to Spacey:
u don't remember the incident – 30 years ago? – fuck u kevin – like Harvey we all knew about u – I hope more men come forward @KevinSpacey

That tweet brought up a question from many:
If you "all knew", then why did you turn away and allow others to be victimized? #honestquestion https://t.co/kV7d2XmAip

But you didn't say anything? #GirlBye https://t.co/fMscL9r9Fl

Why not say anything then if you knew or had heard stories?? Very easy to call it out when it’s already out.. any more stories to share??

O’Donnell responded this way:
of creepy men in Hollywood? white guys in positions of power?
ummm there r too many— ROSIE (@Rosie) October 30, 2017
No excuse. Start with a name and keep going. You all expect us to listen to you about politics but your secrets are deafening!

aint my secret – this is MEN IN POSITIONS OF POWER – from priests – to studio heads – fathers – teachers – it is the water we all swim in
— ROSIE (@Rosie) October 30, 2017
That doesn't hold up in court. When you know of illegal activity and don't tell, it's accessory. Stop protecting these pedos. Come on Rosie!

As for Hollywood’s part, if there are “too many” like Weinstein or Spacey perhaps it’s partly because there are too many in Hollywood who don’t say anything.
