Grand Jury Finds Zero Evidence of Foul Play in Death of Black Teen; Ben Crump Triples Down

As Twitchy reported on July 13, more than 100 protesters had gathered to demand answers on the death of 18-year-old Nolan Wells over the Independence Day weekend. Wells, who was black, went boating with three white friends, who left him at a party on Horn Island, a small island about 10 miles off the Mississippi coast. Wells was later found dead "under mysterious circumstances." Who should show up but the Wells family's attorney, Benjamin Crump, along with Al Sharpton. TMZ reported that Wells' family had hired Crump and was conducting an independent investigation because they believed something wasn't adding up. After all, the three white teens all returned safely.

End Wokeness reports that on Monday night, a Jackson County grand jury found zero evidence of foul play.

Nope. On Tuesday, Crump and the Wells family declared that this wasn't over and demanded an “honest, transparent, and fair” investigation. WLOX reports:

Tuesday morning, Nolan’s parents, Christine and Elmore Wonsley, were joined by Ben Crump and his team at a press conference in Atlanta, where they demanded that the investigation continue as many questions are still left unanswered.
“The grand jury left us with questions,” civil rights attorney Ben Crump said during the conference. “Nolan’s family deserves answers. What caused recent blunt force trauma to his head? Did it contribute to his death?”

“Last night was a reminder that our son’s life does not matter to those who hold positions that are supposed to serve and protect the public,” [Nolan's mother] Christine said.
Crump reinforced that Nolan’s family does not believe he would have left his phone on the boat or stayed behind on the island, and that things still don’t add up.
“Jackson County District Attorney Angel Myers McIlrath will have you accept that Nolan Wells’ death can be summarized in three words: ‘We’ll never know.’ But Nolan’s family offers three other words: ‘We will never stop. We’ll never stop. We’ll never stop...’ We’ll never stop until we get to the truth,” Crump said.
