I searched the archives for that Carnegie Mellon professor who recently caused a ruckus by posting, "Die first, white man, then ask yourself why I’m dancing." She deleted her X account, and school choice evangelist Corey A. DeAngelis posted that her department chair deleted his account, too. As our fearless leader Sam J. wrote earlier today, Carnegie Mellon announced that professor Uju Anya is on “voluntary professional leave” and said it was “deeply concerned” by her “hostile and threatening” posts where she spoke about dancing when white men died.
I found in my search that this isn't the first time Carnegie Mellon has been deeply concerned by Anya's social media posts. Back in 2022, Anya posted about Queen Elizabeth, "I heard the chief monarch of a thieving raping genocidal empire is finally dying. May her pain be excruciating.”
If anyone expects me to express anything but disdain for the monarch who supervised a government that sponsored the genocide that massacred and displaced half my family and the consequences of which those alive today are still trying to overcome, you can keep wishing upon a star.
As I reported at the time, MSNBC's Zeeshan Aleem was upset with Carnegie Mellon for putting out a statement saying Anya’s words did not reflect the value of the institution. "So in effect, this statement was a condemnation and implicitly a signal to other academics at the university that they should watch their mouth on certain matters," Aleem wrote. "While the motivation behind the unusual statement is unclear, it underscores how vulnerable public intellectuals are to controversy-driven social media pile-ons."
Speaking of pile-ons, I have a new one for you. You might remember back in June when I wrote about Howard University's Stacey Patton, who published a piece called "Dear Jeff Metcalf: Your Son Is Dead Because You Failed to Teach Him That Black Boys Have Boundaries." She wrote on the occasion of Karmelo Anthony's conviction and sentencing:
You, sir, told us that Austin learned early how to hold a weapon, how to aim, how to take down a living thing, how to be proud of the kill, how to have that moment folded into the mythology of father and son. This tells us something about the values and emotional curriculum being cultivated around him and about what kind of white masculinity was being celebrated.

Because white boys are not born believing they have jurisdiction over other people’s bodies. They are taught. They are trained by fathers, coaches, peers, churches, schools, gun culture, sports culture, hunting culture, and a nation that keeps confusing aggression with leadership and entitlement with confidence. So when you stood in that courtroom and said Karmelo Anthony failed his parents, himself, and society, you skipped right over the part where you had just described the social world that shaped your own son.
Libs of TikTok found that not only is Patton still at Howard University, she's still a garbage person. "Happy Kirkiversary, MAGATs!!!" she posted to social media.

Speaking of DEI hires, you can't tell me these universities don't know who they're hiring. They'd rather hire these people and roll the dice that none of their posts will go viral, so they don't have to put out another weak statement saying their values don't reflect those of the university. They absolutely do. You granted these lunatics tenure.
Imagine how many Uju Anyas and Stacey Pattons are out there. They know the schools can't do anything to them, and they revel in that fact.
