Back in January, Kamala Harris posted that ICU nurse Alex Jeffrey Pretti's "final act before he was killed by federal agents was doing everything in his power to protect his community." Later, after a video of Pretti spitting on ICE agents and kicking out a taillight came to light, MAZE released a video of Sen. Elizabeth Warren telling Pretti's story.

Amy Klobuchar called Pretti "a guy with a cellphone," neglecting to mention that he was carrying a gun as well. As far as being an ICU nurse, Pretti's parents said that their son quit his hospital job months ago and had shown “unusual behavior” recently. Speaking of Pretti's family, George Stephanopoulos of ABC's Good Morning America recently interviewed Pretti's family.

ABC News reports:
Seven months after 37-year-old Alex Pretti was shot and killed by two federal immigration officers in Minneapolis, his grieving family said they want "accountability" in their first television interview.
"We've seen what happened. The videos are pretty clear. But we want justice. We want accountability for the people that did this to Alex," his father, Michael Pretti, said in the exclusive interview with "Good Morning America" co-anchor George Stephanopoulos while joined by his wife and daughter.
…
After video of him in a confrontation with federal agents 11 days before the shooting surfaced on social media, President Donald Trump called Alex Pretti an "agitator" and "perhaps" an "insurrectionist" in a social media post.
Asked what it felt like to hear those things said about their family member, his sister, Micayla Pretti, said, "I don't think you would like my answer."
"It's so un-presidential," Michael Pretti said. "It's ridiculous that, you know, the leader of the free world speaks that way about an American citizen."
Susan Pretti said she wants an apology for what was said about her son. "Why shouldn't we get one?" she asked.

Why wasn’t he working instead of harassing ICE agents?

He made a stupid decision to fight cops and bring a gun to a protest
Pretti stupid
He got accountability. He FAFO.
— Spitfire (@RealSpitfire) August 25, 2026
Why bring a gun to a protest against federal police? Just why would anyone be that arrogant or stupid. But for the gun, he is alive. It is really that simple.

Pretti got accountability when he assaulted law enforcement while armed.
— wade pearson (@wadepearson) August 25, 2026
They already have it. He FA and FO. End of story. I am sorry for their loss, but if they want more accountability than that I can't help them.
— Larry LaBate (@xmethuselahx) August 25, 2026
Just let me get this straight: they want accountability from the government for this tragic accident, but not from media outlets like ABC which created psychotic frenzy around lawful ICE actions?
— Ginger Man (@redpill73) August 25, 2026
Yeah. I want accountability too. All the people obstructing ICE from enforcing the laws of our country should be arrested the second they interfere.

At least you didn’t say murdered. Moving in the right direction.

Horrible situation that could’ve been prevented. Let them do their jobs. https://t.co/W91bk2vF22

Honestly they need to look in the mirror.

Dude was a nut job.
Couldn’t they ask him to slow his roll?
Do they want accountability or "accountability"?
— speedsafely (@speedsafely) August 25, 2026
Getting into a fight with police officers while carrying a firearm has some very specific risks. Having a recent history of attacking law officers tells us that his attack was a habit.
Pretti was an agitator and it got him killed. Never fight law enforcement. And never fight law enforcement while carrying a gun. You will immediately be considered a threat and treated as such.

It's sad he's dead but he's dead by his bad decision making.
Did he quit his job as an ICU nurse to become a full-time anti-ICE agitator? That was a bad decision, as was bringing a gun to an altercation with federal immigration officers in the middle of an operation.
