UK Police Handcuff University Student Who’d Been Stabbed and Later Died After Claim of Racial Abuse

The Brits are going to be mad because "racist" Elon Musk has taken an interest in current events in the U.K. A man lying on the ground, handcuffed by a cop, whose last words were, "I can't breathe." Sound familiar? Outlets like the BBC have reported on the death of 18-year-old university student Henry Nowak, but they're dancing around the prevailing narrative that cops put the stabbing victim in handcuffs because he'd been acting racist toward a Sikh.

ITV News reports:

A Sikh man accused of the murder of a first-year university student has told a court that he had acted in self-defence after the teenager had racially abused him and knocked his hair out of his turban before grabbing it.

Vickrum Digwa is on trial at Southampton Crown Court charged with the murder of 18-year-old Henry Nowak, from Chafford Hundred, Essex, in Belmont Road in Southampton, on December 3 2025.

The 23-year-old is also charged with carrying a knife in public and his mother, Kiran Kaur, 53, is accused of assisting an offender by removing a weapon from the scene.

The court has heard that Digwa was carrying a kirpan – a religious knife – with a 21cm blade which the prosecution says caused five stab wounds to Mr Nowak, including two to the back of his legs and a fatal wound to the chest.

So the police arrested Nowak, who'd been stabbed five times, because the Sikh man claimed Nowak had racially abused him. Do we have that right?

The post continues:

… Accountancy and Finance student at the University of Southampton from Chafford Hundred in Essex, was fatally stabbed multiple times in the chest and leg while walking home from a night out with his new football teammates in the Portswood area of Southampton on December 3, 2025.

Prosecutors at Southampton Crown Court allege that Vickrum Singh Digwa, armed with a large Shastar blade, described in court as an extremely large 21cm ceremonial knife carried openly in a sheath, chased down and attacked the teenager following a brief street altercation.

Digwa claims he acted in self defence after alleging racial abuse.

According to the prosecution, the incident unfolded around 11:30pm on Belmont Road. Henry, who had been celebrating the end of his first semester, was captured on Snapchat footage sending videos to friends just moments before his death.

Digwa, reportedly carrying the oversized blade, confronted him.

Phone footage played in court shows Digwa saying, I am a bad man, as the confrontation escalated. Henry suffered a deep puncture wound to his chest, along with wounds to his leg and a cut to his jaw. He collapsed from massive blood loss and died at the scene despite desperate attempts to save him.

Disturbingly, when police arrived, they arrested and handcuffed the victim, Henry Nowak, based on Digwa's claims of racial abuse. It was only after he passed out that officers realised the severity of his injuries. First aid came too late.

Digwa, of St Denys Road, Southampton, denies murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

His mother, Kiran Kaur, 52, also of the same address, denies assisting an offender by hiding the murder weapon.

Both have pleaded not guilty and remain in custody. The trial, which began this week, is expected to last around 10 days.

An extremely large 21 cm ceremonial knife? I remember doing posts about the British police trying to stop knife crime by going into antique shops and confiscating dinnerware (including at least one rusty spoon). London Mayor Sadiq Khan set up knife disposal bins so that Brits could get these dangerous weapons off the streets. Earlier this year, Prime Minister Kier Starmer announced that ninja swords had been banned. But you can openly carry a Shastar blade in a sheath? Again, I might be reading this wrong, but I don't think so.

As I mentioned above, Musk has commented on the case on X.

The post continues:

… ideological policing.

Months later? Still no names. Still no suspensions. Still no accountability.

Meanwhile, the same UK police have arrested over 12,000 people for social media posts.

They move at lightning speed to jail citizens for tweets and online comments, yet they can’t even name or discipline the officers who allegedly let a stabbing victim die in handcuffs on the street.

This is the definition of two-tier policing: aggressive against ordinary people speaking online, but protective when it comes to their own failures and protecting the narrative.

The British people deserve real justice, not another cover-up.

Justice for Henry Nowak.

The BBC reports that Digwa said he did not tell police he had stabbed Nowak because he was "scared." His mother, Kiran Kaur, 53, is also on trial and denies assisting an offender by removing a weapon from the murder scene.

Digwa reportedly stole his phone, too, after Nowak began recording him.

One report says, "The officer told Mr. Nowak that he was under arrest for suspicion of assault. Mr. Nowak repeated that he had been stabbed. A male voice said: 'I don't think you have, mate.'"

This happened back in December, but we're just hearing about it now because of the trial.
